Expojud, held between Monday (31) and Friday (4) in, will have a series of debates on new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Big Data and Cybersecurity, and the digital transformation of
Judges, members of the Brazilian and Portuguese academics will give lectures and present cases at the University of Lisbon Faculty of Law throughout this week.
Among the confirmed names are Fernando da Silva Comin, counselor of CNMP (National Council of the Public Prosecution Service) and former Attorney General of Santa Catarina; Alexandre Libonati de Abreu, assistant judge of the presidency of the CNJ (National Council of Justice); Luciana Doria, Assistant Judge of the National Court of Justice; Paulo de Sousa Mendes and Fernando Araújo, full professors at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and Pedro Tavares, former Secretary of State of Justice of Portugal.
The program also includes the presentation of initiatives such as the Defensor System of the São Paulo Public Defender’s Office, and the use of AI in the STF and TJ-RS.
The opening of Expojud will be conducted by representatives of the Directorate-General for Justice Policy of the Ministry of Justice of Portugal, the Institute of Financial Management and Justice Equipment (IGFEJ) and the University of Lisbon.
