Grandmothers never threw out the remains of PO. When they did not want to earn a lot of stuffing, they placed scraps of mass on the hot plate of the tiled stove and in a few moments dumpling pancakes were created. For people who do not have the remains of dumplings, and want to make pies from scratch, we present a recipe with ingredients. Certainly, each of us already has these products in their kitchen.
What ingredients do we need to make dumplings? Here is the list:
- 2 cups of flour;
- 1 cup of hot water;
- 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise;
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
To start with, sift the flour with salt and salt into a bowl. Then heat a mound of it and make a hollow in it. Start pouring hot water into it.
In the next step, mix all the ingredients, and in the meantime add mayonnaise. This addition will improve the taste and consistency of pies.
Then start kneading the dough on the board until it is smooth and soft. Then roll them out on the board – if it is slightly thicker, the pancakes will come out more fluffy.
Finally, cut the wheels from the dough and Fry the dumplings prepared in this way in a heated pan without fat. They must be blushed on all sides.
As mentioned, dumplings can be served both in sweet and dry versions. What additions will therefore match them?
Fans of sweet flavors are proposed to smear the pancakes with jam or jamthat will give them fruity sweetness. For real gourmands, melted chocolate will be a great addition. You can also simply sprinkle them with cinnamon or powdered sugar.
Dumping pancakes in the dry version should be served with butter and saltinstead of which we can use herbs, e.g. rosemary, thyme or oregano. We recommend spreading them with cottage cheese with chives or pate. They are also great as a base for various dips, i.e. Guacamole, Tzatziki or Hummus.
