At least one person died and another was seriously injured, early Monday afternoon, following an explosion in the Alcochete Shot field in Setúbal district.
One worker died and another was seriously injured, in the early afternoon of Monday, due to a Explosion in the Alcochete Shot Field.
According to Civil Protection, both victims are civilians and the alert was given at 13:45 (local time) after “detonation of an explosive ingenuity.”
“The workers, belonging to a private company hired by the Air Force to carry Mansoutside the perimeters of shooting careers, ”reads in the statement published on the Air Force social networks.
“The Air Force, in coordination with the competent entities, is currently investigating the causes of the accident, immediately opening a process of investigation,” he adds.
For the site, six rescue vehicles, 15 operational vehicles and one helicopter of the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM) were triggered.
