Prima April is a day when you can mold androns. Even about the cultivation of spaghetti trees

On this day, adults can feel like children. Many people make fun, deliberately misleading others, and even compete for the name of the most “reliable” prank. On April 1, even playful, seemingly real information appears in the media. It is not known exactly where this tradition came from. Probably the custom of April Fools was initiated in the Middle Ages, referring to ancient Roman practices – Cerialia, celebrated at the beginning of April in honor of the goddess Ceres. According to one of the legends, when Ceres was looking for a kidnapped daughter, she was led into the field. Other sources say that the custom is derived from the Roman holiday of Veneralia, combined with the feast of Fortune Virilis and Cerrialiai (in honor of Ceres), celebrated just on April 1. On this day, jokes, fools and jokes were allowed. Men put on women’s cover and wigs and danced on the streets.

April Fool’s Day in Poland and in the world

The tradition of telling fake stories on April 1 went to Poland from Western Europe in the 16th century. April Fool’s Day was a frivolous day and there should be no serious things. Similarly to today, the first April passed on making various jokes and naigered from naive or careless people. In some regions of Poland, children could also organize pranks on March 12, on St. Grzegorz, patron of learners. This custom was called Gregorianek or Gtegołów. Prima April is also known in other countries. In Russia, he is called “day of laughter”. In Lithuania, it is “Liar Day”, and in Portugal “Day of Lie”. In Great Britain, Australia and South Africa it is celebrated as “April Fools ‘Day’ (Fool’s Day). “APRILSCHERZ” is celebrated in Germany. France Prima April is known as “April Fish day”, and Scotland – “Hunt the Gowk Day”, or hunting for a fool.

It was the biggest mystification in the history of information television. This is how the station gained viewers on the April Fool’s Day.

As we wrote above this year, April Fool’s Day falls on Thursday. It will be easiest to joke from all in the morning, when they do not yet look in the calendar and feel at jokes. The simplest will be pranks to e.g. non -working equipment. It is enough to remove the TV plug from the contact so that no one can see. When trying to run the receiver, the household member may think that the TV is broken. Another example can be salt in a confectioner, or whipped cream instead of toothpaste. However, there are cases of such jokes in history that has been unscrewing for years. For example, in 1957, the BBC British television information program was given to information about the family tree spaghetti. At that time, pasta was not so popular in Great Britain, so many British did not know that they were made of flour and water. After broadcasting the material, viewers called on advice on the cultivation of their own spaghetti trees. The story was probably invented by the camera operator Charles de Jaeger. According to the Museum of Hoaxes, when De Jaeger was still going to school, one of his teachers told students in class that they were so stupid that they would believe that spaghetti was growing on trees. In 2009, the editors of the American information television CNN decided that the message was “The biggest mystification ever provided by a reputable information institution”.
