WASHINGTON (Reuters)-US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he was not kidding about considering a third presidential term, which is prohibited by the United States Constitution, but was still early to think about it.
Trump, who took office on January 20 for his non -consecutive White House, has made vague allusions search for a third term, but directly addressed the matter in an interview with NBC News on Sunday.
“No, I’m not kidding. I’m not kidding,” Trump said, but “it’s too early to think about it.”
“There are methods you could do this, as you know,” he said. The Republican refused to elaborate on any specific method.
US presidents are limited to two four -year terms, consecutive or not, according to the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution.
