Former number 2 at the Ministry of Health, Swedenberger Barbosa has gained a new role in the government and will integrate the president’s personal office in the Planalto Palace.
Berger was even invited by the minister (institutional relations) to occupy the executive secretariat of the portfolio. However, according to interlocutors, he will remain in Lula’s direct team on the Planalto by determination of the president.
The former executive secretary of Nisia acted as special advisor and chief of staff in the first two terms of the petista. He was also in the transition team in 2022, when he coordinated the organization of Lula’s office before heading for health.
