Jordan Bardella, chairman of the French far -right party, launched a petition on social networks to support Marina Le Pen on social networks. He claims that the verdict of the court that forbade her for five years to apply for an elected political function is a “democratic scandal”. In the introductory text to the petition it is said that it is not only Marine Le Pen, who is unfairly condemned, but “it is a French democracy that is executed”. It is no longer the government of judges, but the dictatorship of judges who wants to prevent the French people from commenting, the text says according to Le Monde.
For Bardell’s call for the “mobilization” of the nation, it launched its own petition to support the judiciary and its independence and the Socialist Party (PS).
“We are in the face of worrying challenges to the rule of law and the division of power, we call on the public to defend and support the independence of the judiciary,” the PS -condemned threat of judges who have brought a judgment in the case of parliamentary assistants RN.
“The petition launched by RN is attacking the basics of our democracy and defending the two -speed judicial system,” added the first Secretary of PS Olivier Faure in a report published on the X Network and called on the public to prevent justice and the rule of law.
Threats to judges
