Ayuso describes as an attack “ideological” criticism of private universities
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has criticized the words of Minister María Jesús Montero on the Alves case and the statements of Pedro Sánchez, who has described some private universities as “educational chiringuitos”. Ayuso has condemned “the attack on the presumption of innocence and the legal system” and has criticized what has described as the government’s attempt to create a “popular democracy.”
On private universities, Ayuso has said that it is an “ideological” attack with the objective “of taking everything to the ‘guerracivilism’ so that Spain starts in two permanently.” In this sense, he has defended the public-private collaboration as the formula that has allowed the Community of Madrid to raise 12 hospitals, he said during the V Forum Wake Up Spain, organized by Invertia and the Spanish. They have attacked the private ones “because they want nothing to improve and that nothing flies freely,” he added.
“The private university has not subtracted students from the public because the public university is freely accessed by a cut -off note.” According to Ayuso, in the public university there are 205,000 students and in the private, 103,000 “who have been young who have then had roots in the city where the best years of their lives have passed.”
Currently, in the Community of Madrid there are 13 private universities in the region, compared to the 6 public campuses that have lost funds and students every year. “He has been sectarian and not being in the world, attacking private universities. Many times students have not been from rich families and has been suicide to attack them,” said Ayuso. “We have been the country of the middle classes and that has been our best treasure.”
Ayuso has expanded the attack against Sánchez to the business countryside and said: “We have been in times where presidents of private companies have been beheaded in the public square,” in reference to the recent relay in the Telefónica dome.
