Allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro met with the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), to press the vote on the bill that grants to those condemned by January 8 of 2023.
According to the PL deputies who articulate the project vote, Motta said he will bring together the other leaders to deal with the matter, but gave no time for any decision. The PL should maintain obstruction while Motta does not decide on the amnesty.
The leader of the PL leader to the House, Deputy Sóstenas ridingand (RJ), has stated that the project has the necessary support for approval.

Leaders linked to Motta argue that the project is a pineapple in the hands of the president of the house and do not believe it includes the project on the chamber’s agenda, despite the calls of the pockets. The next meeting of the College of Leaders that defines issues that will have priority in the house is scheduled for Thursday (03).
The deputy Duarte Junior (PSB-MA) Bet that the project will not enter the agenda in the coming days and says that the logic of PL deputies, who work for approval, is to try to include Bolsonaro in amnesty. “If Bolsonaro is convicted of an attempted coup d’état of January 8, and there is an amnesty law, he consequently, he could be amnesty,” he says.
Project progress
Last year, the bill was based on the Chamber’s Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ). Given the negative repercussion, the then president of the house, Arthur Lira (PP-AL) decided to create a special committee to analyze the issue.
The commission has not been created and the project has been stopped since.
