A LATAM AIRLINES BRAZIL plane left the track on Monday night by landing at Chapecó airport in Santa Catarina, Brazil, in adverse weather conditions. Under heavy rain, the aircraft surpassed the landing track and immobilized in a vegetation area.
The La3276 flight, which departed from Guarulhos, São Paulo, was carrying 107 passengers and five crew members, all landed safely, according to a statement from the airline. However, the return flight, La3277, scheduled for the same day, was canceled due to the incident.
VOE XAP, the company responsible for the management of the airport, confirmed the incident and said that its teams were immediately worked to provide the necessary assistance.
On social networks, videos that record panic on board at the time of landing, followed by applause to the pilot as soon as the plane stopped. The images also show the immobilized aircraft off the track.
