Nature awakens as well as our gardens, which will now need a large dose of our time and especially the care, for which they later reward both the crop and the flood of beautiful flowers. What do we definitely must not forget? Look at the sins that need to be avoided.
We are working in the garden most of the time, but we have become accustomed to building (or mostly) its relaxation part, where we like to sit with friends or family and enjoy peaceful moments of rest. To make it all possible, we have to get to work now. What are “deadly garden sins”?
YouTube video by garden rescuers will tell you even more:

It won’t go without cleaning
We cannot run into the garden like a hurricane and immediately start placing or sowing the next plants from which we expect crops. First, it is necessary to clean (really necessary!) On the land. Why? It is not only aesthetics, but under the forgotten piles of leaves, old wood or even in some cases of garbage, very well is doing very well with various pests from tick eggs, which would later flood the garden to mice and even larger creatures. You do not want to share the result of your work with them.
Be sure to loosen the soil
We are all looking forward to the first plants that start to stick out the leaves from the soil, but nothing must be rushed. The carelessly prepared soil later manifests itself with a lower crop and naniced flowers. It is necessary to loosen it with at least forks or cultivator, without it it really will not work.
Organic fertilization is necessary
When you loosen the soil, it would be another sin to forget fertilization. Ideally, use compost or manure – it depends on what crops you want to grow on the land. Anyway, you can’t expect any great miracles on unpleasant soil.
Do you know the pH soil?
Fertilization goes hand in hand also to adjust the pH of the soil. Therefore, check this value and adjust it according to whether you want to grow plants requiring a more acidic or alkaline environment. To increase acidity, the addition of peat will be sufficient, for a more alkaline environment lime, or broken egg shells.
Dirty and rusty tools? This is a great sin!
Do you really find it doesn’t matter what you cover the garden, or what tool you will shorten the shoots and branches of plants? You can’t even be on a bigger error. The fifth sin is thus omitted spring care for garden equipment. It must not be rusty or dirty, the scissors must not be blunt and untreated by disinfection… In short – for poorly treated tools, the punishment will soon be punished.
Weeds you have to get rid of immediately
Not everything that grows on the land can leave the gardener in his place. Overlooking the germinating weeds will carefully write to its diary, so that it does not forget to remind you when you “deserve” shovel in an effort to remove the already grown and very well -rooted weed plants.
Don’t let pests destroy plants
Do you know about pests who regularly settle in your garden, but you are sorry for a little time for which you could protect your young plants from insect air raids or nubs larger uninvited guests? Well, it is your decision, but the consequences will not only face the plants, but probably you themselves when you watch the garden wither. It is a pity, a few minutes, or even hours given such care, is definitely worth it.
Don’t be afraid to learn
If you want, or you have to go into the spring cut of shrubs and trees, then remember that a little theory (as we know) will not kill anyone. Observe strictly all deadlines and procedures, as otherwise you could encounter retribution in the form of a lower crop, in the worst case by losing a tree. At the moment you need to recall sin number 5 – always take care of the garden with good and clean tools.
Think before you go to the garden
Land care must be pre -thought. Believe that you will get much more joy and fruits from your garden. We know that there are plants that we must not grow for more years on one land (bulbous, cruciferous, eggplant, and the like), so that we do not expose them to unnecessary problems with overgrown pests, or do not plant them into exhausted soil. On the contrary, the beans give the ground enough nitrogen, so they are suitable as crops that can “drive” the land for the next crops. The garden is actually a science, but who approaches it as a source can not expect great success.
Don’t overdo it, nature is not a machine
The tenth sin (but certainly not the last) can highlight the lack of patience. Nothing must be exaggerated, nor the desire for rapid and exuberant growth of garden crops. Therefore, remember – to fertilize yes, but according to the rules, because in nature it does not always mean better. Bet yes, not late, but also not too early. In short, everything has its time and it is us, people who have to adapt to the rhythm of nature. On the contrary, it will never work, no matter what we try.
