Major had submitted adulterated document in January 2015; No more appeal

The case was in January 2015, when the major was considered fit for military service with a restriction of 180 days after a health inspection. Dissatisfied with the result, according to the STM, he tampered with the document seeking a new evaluation.

The forgery was confirmed through an expertise. For the Attorney General of Military Justice, the major’s attitude is serious, since the conduct of a military officer “must be aligned with the values of ethics and honor required by the Armed Forces”.
For the MP (Public Prosecution Service), the action of the major compromises institutional morality and represents a bad example for subordinates.
The rapporteur of the case, Minister Artur Vidigal de Oliveira, said in his vote in the trial that the official loss of the patent and position occurs only in cases where the conduct of the military is considered incompatible with the amounts of the barracks.
“The feeling of duty, Pundonor, ethical conduct and institutional loyalty are not mere options for an official, but legal precepts. When violated, they make their permanence unfeasible in the Armed Forces”Said the minister.
The rapporteur also pointed out that the forgery of public document constitutes a serious crime against administrative morality, compromising values such as honesty and loyalty to institutions and the country. For Vidigal, fraud like this should be punished rigorously.
“The conduct of the officer represented a break of the confidence in it deposited and a shake to the credibility of the Brazilian Army. His attitude disregarded the consequences before society and his uniformed companions”Said the minister.
