US President Donald Trump expects Russian President Vladimir Putin to “fulfill his part” of the war agreement in Ukraine. Trump told the White House reporter on Monday, TASR reports, according to AFP, recalling that the US President had previously expressed doubts about Moscow’s determination in this direction.

“I think he will fulfill what he told me, and I think it will now fulfill his part of the agreement,” Trump told reporters.

Doubts about Moscow

The US President said on Sunday that he is “very angry and upset” from the attitude of the Russian president, which challenges the Ukrainian leadership. He said this in a telephone interview for NBC News, in which he also threatened with duties for Russian oil.

According to AFP, Trump then sharply changed his normal tone to Russia and said he was angry when Putin began to “weigh” the credibility of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Greenland. The US President also threatened with “secondary duties” to Russian oil and said he was planning to talk to Putin this week.

Trump also commented on the condemnation of the French far -right politician Marina Le Pen on Monday in the White House, comparing him to his own legal battles, writes AFP.

On Monday, the court in Paris acknowledged Le Pen for the fraud of the European Parliament’s funds (EP).

The court’s decision in Paris is endangered by the political ambitions of Le Pen, which showed an interest in running in 2027 in the presidential election.

“She was banned from running for five years and was a leading candidate. That sounds like this country, it sounds very much like this country,” Trump said, calling the court’s decision a “very serious matter”.

Trump’s legal cases

In its report, AFP recalled that Trump is the first person recognized as guilty of a criminal offense who took the position of US President. These were a case of 34 cases of falsification of business records. In addition, the federal and state authorities led against Trump – already after his departure from the White House – the investigation on the fact that he refused to accept his defeat in the presidential election in 2020 and stored strict secret documents in his houses.

Trump also announced on Monday to journalists that he could travel to Saudi Arabia during April, which would be his first foreign trip since January again.

According to Trump, the journey could take place in April, “maybe a little later”. As he added, “we will probably stop in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and in Qatar,” quotes AFP.
