Two new teams received permission to operate with Brazilian brands and fans: Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. The franchises join Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots in the country.
The teams received from the League the right to expand their performance at Global Markets Program (GMP, Global Market Program). Rights last for five years and allow franchises to negotiate marketing actions in countries outside the United States.
The two new teams to access the Brazilian market already participate in GMP in other countries. Lions had been allowed to work in Austria, Canada, Germany and Switzerland, while Eagles promotes actions in Australia, Ghana and New Zealand. To enter a new market, the teams must order to International Committee, from the League, each season.
Currently, 29 teams participate in 21 international markets, compared to 25 clubs and 19 markets in 2024. The movement is part of one. In 2024, Philadelphia Eagles himself was one of the teams who played a regular NFL season game at the Corinthians stadium.

“We are excited to have two more teams joining the global market program in Brazil,” said NFL Brazil General Luis Martinez. “The country is an important market for NFL and has 36 million league fans, being the third largest base in the world. We look forward to working with Lions and Eagles, two fantastic franchises, to continue to boost emotion in our passionate fan base.”
