With the deadline for submitting the annual IRS declaration, many taxpayers are looking for ways to optimize refund amounts or reduce any amounts to pay. Fiscal planning, although mandatory for some, is still neglected by many – partly lacking in the available tools.

In this context, Deco Proteste has launched a free simulator on its simple IRS platform, with the aim of supporting taxpayers in comparing scenario and choosing the most advantageous IRS reimbursement option, whether in individual or joint statement.

The tool also allows you to anticipate the impact of new tax rules applicable as early as 2025.

Personalized simulation with automatic import or manual insertion

The simulator enables the user to import their data directly from the finance portal, or opt for manual introduction.

After this step, it is possible to compare different fiscal scenarios, including the encompassing income, the application of young IRS, as well as situations of tax disability.

The platform automatically analyzes the taxpayer’s situation and indicates the most advantageous option. In addition, it allows you to generate the XML file compatible with the official system, ready to be submitted to the Finance Portal.

New rules already reflected in the simulator

Among the tax news incorporated in the simulation are, for example, the exemption of IRS on balance bonuses, up to 4,100 euros, as well as salary increases equal to or greater than 5%. From 2024, these situations are no longer taxed in the IRS.

Also noteworthy is the new deduction of home service expenses, which allows to deduct up to 5% of the amount spent, with a limit of 200 euros.

Another relevant change is the duplication of the IRS consignment, which now allows to assign 1% of the tax to a solidarity institution, double the one allowed in the previous year.

Additional resources and complementary support

In addition to the simulator, the IRS Simples platform offers support to the user through a specialized telephone line, an informative ebook entitled “IRS without complications” and a tax calendar with SMS warnings on relevant deadlines-such as IMI or IUC-which are not always reportedly reported by finances.

Finally, it points out that the application also allows to predict the effect of the changes introduced in the retention tables at the source during the last year, and that they may impact the amounts to receive or pay this year.
