Adherence to the Artificial Intelligence Platform coincides with viral images of images inspired by Studio Ghibli
It won 1 million new users in just one hour on Monday (31.mar.2025), according to Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAi, responsible for the creation of the Artificial Intelligence Platform.
The increase coincides with the viralization of Trend in which users created images inspired by the unique style of the famous Studio Ghibli animations through the chatgpt image generator.
Altman recalled that the release of ChatgPT in 2022 was also a “Viral moment”with 1 million accounts registered in just five days.
The CEO did not make a direct connection between the user increase and the recent trend, and also did not disclose the total number of currently active users of the platform.
Altman mentioned that the OpenAi team “I needed to sleep”due to high demand and continuous work to keep the service working. “Biblical demand. I never saw anything similar”he said.
