Selected candidates can travel free of course for 30 days
The European Commission opened candidates for a new cycle of the Discovereu program, which offers almost 36,000 train tickets to 18-year-olds across Europe, ending the deadline on the 16th.
Selected candidates will be able to travel for free train for 30 days, between July 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026.
The contest is open to candidates born between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007, residents of the EU and in countries associated with the Erasmus+program.
AS and end on Wednesday, April 16, at 12:00 (11:00 from Lisbon).
Selected candidates will travel, a general rule, by train, but the initiative offers alternative modes of transport, such as ferries and buses, when necessary, and takes into account environmental considerations, of time and distance.
In exceptional cases, and when other means of transportation are not available, young people may travel by plane.
Thus, young people living in remote areas or on islands, such as the Azores and Madeira, will also have the opportunity to participate in the Discovereu initiative.
