Leading cancer surgeon Professor Justin Stebbing called on the British public to include a portion of white live yogurt in his daily diet, making it possible to reduce the risk of colon cancer. Live white yogurt – without additives, dyes, sweeteners and flavorings – contains bacteria that help prevent cancer cells in the intestines.
According to Stebbing, it is possible by daily consumption of white live yogurt reduce the risk of this disease by up to twenty percent. “As a consultant oncologist, I have encountered many people who asked how they can reduce the risk. Increasing evidence suggests that regular yogurt consumption can have a protective effect against some aggressive forms of colon cancer,” Professor Stebbing said.
However, he warned that not all yoghurts bring the same benefits. And it is really necessary to consume only white live yogurt without any ingredients! “Different fermentation processes can lead to different levels of beneficial bacteria, so it is good to choose white yoghurts with live cultures,” advises Professor Stebbing. He added that natural, unsweetened and full -fat variants usually have a higher protein content and lower carbohydrate content.
Experts believe that bifidobacteria naturally present in yogurt have an anti -cancer effect and can prevent tumor formation, although the exact mechanism is not fully known. Yogurt may also have an anti -inflammatory effect on the intestinal mucosa, which further reduces the risk of cancer.
