How to promote nutmeg growth?

If you have geraniums, you are probably dealing with how to cut them nicely, cut and prepare for the new season. Although they are plants that are doing quite well in our country, it is necessary to pay attention to a quality substrate. You should change the plants at least every two years.

If you haven’t done so yet, consider buying self -irrigation pots. The geraniums love the sun, but at the same time require regular watering. Self -irrigation pots and boxes will greatly facilitate care of these beautifully flowering plants.

To bloom beautifully, they need to be not only at a well -sunken habitat, but you can also support their growth and a flower for various fertilizers. If you reach for industrially produced fertilizers, choose the mese designed straight and do not have to deal with anything other than the right dosage.

But if you don’t want to buy chemistry, you don’t have to. You can also support the growth and health of your plants with quite ordinary domestic fertilizers, which are not only effective but also cheap.

Three effective natural fertilizers

There are many domestic fertilizers that are also used in nutmeg growing. Popular fertilizers include water made of boiled potatoes, rice or pasta. This rich watering can only be used if you have not used salt when cooking.

The use of yeast is significantly more practical. Yeast fertilizer is not at all demanding to prepare and contains substances that promote plant growth. You need a package or a cube of yeast, a tablespoon of sugar and roughly a liter of warm water. Mix these three raw materials in a larger than a liter container and leave to ferment for 24 hours. Before using it in a 1:10 ratio and apply it to nutmegs every 14 days.

Muscat also benefits tea bags and leaves. It is a plant that does not mind slightly more acidic soil, so tea is a suitable fertilizer. You can water the plant with lukewarm tea or used tea bags and incorporate the leaves into the substrate.

In the spring we should not forget the nettles. Koprivová Jícha is a great fertilizer extremely rich in nitrogen, potassium and other minerals that promote healthy growth of greenery. The preparation of Jícha is simple, but because of its unpleasant odor you will need more space.

If you do not mind and have a larger barrel or bucket, fill it with half chopped nettles and top up with water. Let ferment outside in a sunny place, partly covered with a lid. The fermentation decomposes the plant, the foam disappears and the dark murky liquid remains. Before using it in a ratio of 1:10 and apply it to the plants ideally outdoors, because Jicha smells unpleasantly.

If long fermentation does not suit you, you can prepare nettle tea. Although it does not have as strong effects as a clay, it still contains important substances. It can be prepared from dried or fresh chopped nettles, which you cook briefly and let it infuse for at least 15 minutes. Water the plants once or twice in 14 days with the tea prepared.

Remember that nettle and tea are rich in nitrogen and are therefore suitable to support the growth of greenery, not for flowers. However, the lush, green and healthy plant is the foundation that every plant should have before the flowering begins to draw.
