The Brazilian government lamented the decision taken by the government of Donald TrumpPresident of the US, which he instituted, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services in a joint statement.

“Since the US records recurring and significant commercial surpluses in goods and services with Brazil over the last 15 years, totaling US $ 410 billion, the unilateral imposition of additional 10% linear fare on Brazil with the allegation of the need to restore balance and” commercial reciprocity “does not reflect reality,” says the note.
The government has exalted the approval of and stated that it will seek, in consultations with the private sector, to defend interests of national producers with the US government.
