A, the Comptroller General of the Union and the Federal Public Prosecution Service fulfill this Thursday (3) search and seizure warrants in the municipality of Patos, Paraíba.
The mayor of Patos is the father of the mayor of the Chamber of Deputies, (). Within the second phase of Operation Outside, the operation investigates evidence of bidding fraud and diversion of federal public resources in contracts that total R $ 6 million to carry out work in the municipality.
There are four search and seizure warrants issued by the 14th Federal Court of Justice in Patos (PB). The work has the participation of CGU auditors and federal police.
According to CGU, the works began from the survey of information and the analysis of documents related to the hiring of the company responsible for the execution of the work.
“Shortly after the first phase of the operation, which took place on July 12, 2024, inspections were carried out by both CGU and PF, confirming evidence pointed out in the investigation,” he said.
Also according to CGU, the analysis of the documentation collected in the first phase allowed the identification of agents in the alleged irregularities.
The new phase of the operation, says the controller, seeks to deepen the investigation and the investigation of elements on possible illicit action of “investigated, who, using his position in the public administration, would have favored private interests of the company hired to carry out the work”, whose contract exceeds R $ 6 million.
