The government of giving toll to motorcyclists in the new concessions of highways signed in the state.
The measure, which was implemented in contracts signed from 2023, is valid for projects such as São Paulo coast, Sorocabana Route, Water Circuit and Mogiana Route.
It is also being analyzed for contracts prior to this guideline, such as those of the North and Econoroeste Rodoanel. In these cases, legal aspects are being analyzed.
In addition, the concessions also adopt the “Free Flow” toll model, made not through booths, but via collection with electronic gantry along the highways, proportional to the distance traveled by drivers.
The system is used in countries such as US, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and Chile.
