Body advances a “security network” for Spanish companies to fall tariffs and “relaunch them”

In an interview in RNE, body has said that it considers “unfair and unjustified” Trump’s decision to impose tariffs and has shown the disposition of the Spanish government to “achieve a negotiated solution” on the matter. “But if there is no place for negotiations, we will take measures to protect our companies and consumers,” he said. In any case, he believes that the announcement of tariffs and that we are facing a “historical moment in which the economic and geopolitical world order is redefined before which it is“ very important ”that the EU gives a“ united ”response is facing a“ united ”response if it wants to have a leadership position.“ It can be a window of opportunity and we have the conditions to take advantage of it, ”he said.

He has spoken of “relaunching these sectors” with “positive vision”, with measures at the Spanish and European level to facilitate access to new markets, accelerating the ratification of the EU agreement with Mercosur and looking for strategic partners, as well as with the “use” of internal markets, especially the EU.
In any case, body has called to “tranquility” and stressed that the impact of tariffs must be analyzed with the affected sectors, because there are “many edges” that can be added, such as a strong dollar can favor Spanish exports, “partially compensating” the tariff increase, or the “replacement effect between countries”, which can be made to the EU more competitive than other countries.
