Few people stood out both on Ironman and Fernanda Keller. In Latin America, there is no one: she is the only athlete in the region, between men and women, to appear in the hall of the world fame of this sport.
Collector of records and titles in the sport, she knows the necessary effort to cross the finish line. There are 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and, in the end, a marathon. “There are time that you talk like this: ‘Guys! There are still 42 kilometers left. How am I going to handle?'” Says Fernanda.
“Your leg will have you stop and order a masseuse, but your head will talk to your leg: ‘Continue, because you have trained for it.’ It’s a constant negotiation,” the triathlete ongoing at Casafolha teaches, available at Casafolhasp.com.br.
This dialogue, according to her, begins in training, when the athlete should prepare not only from the physical point of view, to support the distances, but also from the mental point of view.
“Your body sends a message to your mind: ‘Oh, it’s okay.’ And your mind says, ‘I’m seeing, you see.’ So it’s a communication that doesn’t stop it all the time,” Fernanda explains on the streaming platform with exclusive courses launched by September by Sheet.
At CasaFolha, his classes on “Ironman and the Overcoming Limits” integrate the “High Performance” journey, which brings together personalities linked to elite sports to deal with subjects such as discipline, motivation, leadership, teamwork, pressure under pressure and victorious mindset.
She is next to names such as Raí, former captain of the Brazilian Football Team, with the course “Mindness of Athlete: From Sport to Life”. On April 10, Aline Wolff debuts, a psychologist at Gymnast Rebeca Andrade, with lessons on “mental preparation and the balance of emotions.”
In the course, Fernanda shows how the challenge in an Ironman test is, in the end, the overcoming of his own limits. “If you don’t want to overcome yourself, you should not even sign up for such a proof.”
In her case, overcoming sometimes came in extreme tones. In the 1990s, for example, she won a Ironman competition in Rio de Janeiro. So far, that’s fine; But she cried a lot on arrival, which was strange, as thrilled as she was.
“The next day, I went to the doctor to know what was happening to me. I had a swollen knee. I found that I was with rubella,” he says. She says no one should repeat the feat. “This is just an example that we are much stronger than you think,” he says.
Most successful Brazilian triathlete of all time, Fernanda was a five-time champion of Ironman Brazil and a sixth champion of the Triathlon Brazil Trophy, arrived 14 times among the top 10 of the Hawaii World Ironman Championship and completed 23 consecutive editions of this race, a record.
In her classes at CasaFolha, she talks to those who already have experience and who is starting with, with tips ranging from a medical appointment to behavior during a test – of course, for training and choosing challenges that fit in personal routine.
She highlights the need to do strengthening, stretching and functional, as well as planning a workout that replicates the test day experience.
“In this course, I will share with you my story, my experience of a life dedicated to the sport. [Vou falar sobre a] Mentality, what we need to win and to achieve our goals. But especially, [vou falar sobre] My love and joy for the lifestyle that sport provides. “
In classes, Fernanda also teaches how to set goals, to get discipline, to overcome their own limits and even choose sports equipment for swimming, cycling and running.
Casafolha already has 19 exclusive courses of great personalities, such as former Minister Pedro Malan, who explains how to analyze the economy, Monja Coen, who teaches meditation, filmmaker José Padilha, who talks about “The Art of Storytelling”, and the author Itamar Vieira Junior, who deals with creative writing.
And new content is launched every month. In April, in addition to Aline Wolff, he joins this team Helena Rizzo, with a course on “High Gastronomy at Home”.
