Brazil registered the First case of a dermatophyte fungus highly resistant to antifungals, the Trichophyton indotineae. According to a study published in the Brazilian Dermatology Annals, the diagnosis in a patient lights the expert’s concern due to the potential for dissemination and challenges in treatment.
The research analyzed a 40 -year -old male patient, unprofessional, born in Brazil and from London, who reported pruriginous erythematical lesions in the glutes started in January 2024.
