O Arsenal announced this Thursday (3) that the Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães suffered an injury to the posterior thigh muscle. The defender will need to undergo surgery in the coming days and, because of this, will be out of law for the rest of the European season.
The 27 -year -old defender was overwhelmed during the first half of Arsenal’s last match, the 2-1 win over Fulham for the 30th round of the Premier League.
According to Arsenal statement, Gabriel Magalhães will begin the recovery and rehabilitation process soon after surgery. It is expected to be able to return to the pitch at the beginning of next season, which starts in August this year.

Brazilian
With the muscle injury, Gabriel Magalhães will be unavailable for the Brazilian National Team on the next FIFA date, scheduled for June 2 and 10. Brazil faces Ecuador and Paraguay for the World Cup qualifiers.
He has been a starter in the last two games in Brazil, against Colombia and Argentina.
