On the occasion of the day of health on April 7, SOS Children’s Village draws attention to defects in the medical care of children and adolescents and calls for an emergency plan in this regard. For the 1.8 million children and adolescents living in Austria, there are currently only 300 resident pediatricians with a cash contract, it said on Thursday at a press conference at the NGO. In Vienna, for example, every second practice no longer accepts new patients.
