According to information released by the Tax and Customs Authority (AT), taxpayers who want to use this means of payment must join the 15th April.
The OT made the warning through a publication on social networks, highlighting: “If you want to pay the next IMI by direct debit, do your adhesion until the 15th of this month.”
What is the direct debt of IMI?
Direct debt is an automatic payment system that allows the amount of IMI to be removed directly from the taxpayer’s bank account.
This option avoids forgetting and potential late fines, ensuring that the tax is settled within the legal deadlines.
To join, you must access the Finance Portal, in the section dedicated to IMI, and follow the instructions to authorize the debt of the bank account.
What are the payment deadlines of IMI in 2024?
Payment of IMI can be made in a single installment or in quarterly installments, depending on the value:
-Vallow up to 100 euros: single payment in May;
– -Value between 100 and 500 euros: two installments, in May and November;
-Vallow over 500 euros: Three installments, in May, August and November.
With the active direct debt, the taxpayer does not need to worry about the issuance of the reference or the deadlines, as the OT processes the payment automatically.
