Los Angeles-California’s governor Gavin Newsom has announced that they want to handle the import duties imposed by US President Donald Trump. “California is not Washington DC,” said Newsom in a video message published online on Friday (local time). “We won’t watch Trump’s customs war,” he added. With 40 million inhabitants, California is the most populous state in the United States and generates 14 percent of the total gross domestic product (GDP).
