CNU opens more than 6,000 vacancies for federal servers and represents greater hiring of the last decade

It is about to open 6,640 vacancies, marking the largest initiative to hire effective federal servants in the last decade. Successful candidates will be allocated in 21 different federal public agencies. This action is part of a government effort to strengthen the structure of the public service. By 2023, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) had already authorized a competition for 2,426 effective positions, totaling 9,066 vacancies available throughout the year. The following year, 2024, plus 2,282 vacancies were authorized, highlighting a continuous movement towards the expansion of the server.

These new hires have as its main objective to reverse the trend of falling admissions of effective servers, which contrasts with the increase in the number of temporary servers. Between 2010 and 2023, about 246,000 servers retired, and MGI estimates that approximately 57,000 should retire between 2024 and 2026. Currently, there are about 66,300 servers that remain active, even being able to retire.
