The suspect of committing murder within the Paraíba State University in Campina Grande died at the Emergency Hospital on Friday morning (4).

Without understanding what was happening, the students cried and feared that it was a massacre at UEPB, a hypothesis soon discarded by the police. Frightened, the students evacuated the university.
According to police, after killing the owner of the copier, Keine Diniz dos Santos, 47, and injuring his partner, the suspect headed towards a school where his ex-wife works. She hid and was not found. Then Flávio Medeiros went to the Scientific Police Institute (IPC) in Campina Grande, parked the car and shot his own head. He was taken to the emergency and trauma hospital, but could not resist.
For police, all the action was premeditated and motivated by revenge, as the merchant was relating to the suspect’s ex-wife.
Given the case of violence, the UEPB rectory published a ordinance suspending the academic and administrative activities in person on Campus 1, from April 4 to 11, 2025.
This Friday (4), representatives of the university met with the team of the Command of the 4th Battalion of the Military Police of Paraíba to elaborate emergency security measures, such as escape routes and emergency exits. The PM was available to guide UEPB in creating a security plan and intensifying the rounds already held at the university.
