Feijoada is a traditional Brazilian food that is worth trying us. It is commonly prepared from beans and various types of meat. Today we will show a version with chicken meat, complemented by Chorizo, which is easier and faster to prepare, but still offers a rich taste and of course feed.
FEIJOADA food is based on black beans, which are ideal to leave overnight. If you use canned, the preparation will be faster. Chicken, ideally thigh cuttings, cut into pieces and chorizo into slices.

Beans have a lot of health benefits
“Beans are one of the main sources of plant protein, also contain healthy fats, many fiber and vitamins – especially groups B, vitamin E and folic acid. They are also richly represented by minerals – potassium, magnesium, copper, calcium, zinc and iron. They strengthen the function of the digestive tract and the proper running of the heart and blood vessels, ”says PharmDr. Margit Slimáková.
Heat a little oil in the pot and fry the onion and garlic on it until it is degraded. Add Chorizo and let it release fat, which gives the food a distinctive taste. Then throw the chicken and roast until it stretches from all sides. Pour a little Roman cumin, peppers and bay leaves into the mixture, pour over tomato paste and broth. Add the beans and let everything simmer until the meat softens and the tastes are not connected.
The icing on the cake is fresh coriander
Feijoada is most often served with rice, sprinkled with fresh coriander and slices of lime. It tastes great but is steamed by cabbage or crispy bread. Thanks to the combination of beans, meat and spices, it is a meal that not only feeds, but gives the body the necessary nutrients.
This dish is ideal for a fast family lunch or dinner because it is easy to prepare and at the same time very tasty. Just one pan, a few ingredients and in a moment you have a great meal full of scents and tastes of Latin America.
