Since he was elected state deputy by Sao Paulo in 2022, Felipe Franco (União Brasil) has been trying to promote sports promotion policies. On the morning of Friday (4), during the Arnold Sports Festival South America, the athlete and businessman spoke exclusively to the blog about his social project that aims to hold a free bodybuilding championship for athletes.
“The main element of an event is the athletes. For this case, specifically, I intend to set aside the high level and focus on amateurs. The people I want on the stage are those who have never been able to make a preparation and compete,” says the politician.
Also according to Franco, a specific selection of the aspirants will be made to ensure that the tournament in question will have athletes who “may eventually become professional bodybuilders in the future.”
The deputy’s speech is the same week that Ramon Rocha Queiroz, Dino, revealed the dream of opening “a gym for the public who has no condition”.
In a video published on Fabrício Pacholok’s channel last Thursday (3), the Acre added that he wants to “be able to make people who have this dream have a closer proximity to the sport and a greater chance of being able to follow this goal.”
Dino’s personal friend, Franco encouraged himself with the idea of the bodybuilding possibly “to be a political and social supporter” of this kind of initiative: “You can count on me”.
Finally, the deputy states that “Ramon has this goal because he is a guy who had life changed by bodybuilding, he knows the importance of sport.”
