The waiting line for benefits from the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) increased in December and closed in 2024 with 2.042 million requirements under analysis. The data are part of the Social Security Statistical Bulletin (Beps), which was released only in April this year.
According to the document, there was growth in line in December last year, as in November there were 1.985 million benefits requirements under review by the INSS.
One of the reasons for the increase of the line was the strike of the agency’s servers, which delayed the process of analysis of the requests.
In addition, the increase in the number of requirements is also one of the causes cited by the agency to climb the waiting line.
In an interview with Broadcast (Real -time news system of the State Group) Last year, INSS President Alessandro Stefanutto attributed discharge in the request for benefits to factors such as heated labor market, which raises the basis of taxpayers apt to require resources.
