Three individuals were arrested in the Lagoa neighborhood of Cruzeiro do Sul, for involvement with criminal organization and drug trafficking during Operation Sentinel of Juruá. The action was jointly held between the Specialized Policing Company of the 6th Military Police Battalion and the Special Border Group (Gefron).
During the inspection and control work promoted by Gefron in various parts of the city, the Military Police conducted strategic raids in the Lagoa neighborhood. Upon noticing the police approach, three suspects tried to escape, but were quickly intercepted by the police siege.

After the approach, the individuals claimed to join a criminal organization, which motivated the immediate arrest. Continuing the operation, with the support of sniffer dogs trained to locate narcotics and firearms, the police searched the residence of one of the suspects.
On site were found three marijuana tablets, materials used for drug packing, line rollers, as well as a precision scale – items that indicate direct involvement with drug trafficking.
Faced with the blatant, the suspects were arrested and were referred to the Police Station for legal proceedings and deepening investigations. The action reinforces the commitment of security forces in combating organized crime in the Juruá region.
