Suzuka-world champion Max Verstappen surprisingly snatched the pole position for the Formula 1 Grand Prix from Japan with a sensational round. The Dutch on the traditional course in Suzuka drove a new route record on Saturday in 1: 26.983 minutes and referred WM-LEADER Lando Norris (+0.012) and China winner Oscar Piatri in the second McLaren (+0.044). His new red bull teammate Yuki Tsunoda was 15th (APA, 5.4.2025)
