According to Datafolha, to 23%, former president should support Michelle to run for presidency, and 21%, Tarcísio de Freitas
Datafolha survey on Saturday (5.ab.2024) shows that 67% of Brazilians think that the former president (PL) should give up the candidacy-to be ineligible-and support another candidate in 2026.
Here’s the numbers:
- Bolsonaro should give up and support another candidate – 67%;
- Bolsonaro should maintain the candidacy for the presidency – 28%;
- I couldn’t answer – 5%.
Datafolha interviewed 3,054 people 18 years or older in 172 cities in Brazil from March 1st to 3rd. The survey error margin is 2 percentage points, more or less.
The survey also asked who respondents think Bolsonaro should support if he does not try to compete again in the 2026 elections. Here are the answers:
- Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) – 23%;
- Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) – 21%;
- Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) – 14%;
- Pablo Marçal (PRTB) – 11%;
- Mouse Jr. (PSD) – 7%;
- Ronald Caiado (Brazil Union) – 4%;
- Romeu low (Novo) – 4%;
- none – 9%;
- You don’t know – 7%.
Bolsonaro act in São Paulo
The former president summoned an act in favor of amnesty for the January 8 prisoners to this Sunday (6.abr). Will be held at av. Paulista, in São Paulo, from 14h. Bolsonaro’s allies speak in 500,000 people. It is a generous estimate, given that, in Rio, on March 16.
The act, however, is the former president’s 1st after with 7 other allies in the Federal Supreme Court for attempted coup d’état – What happens now.
