British Foreign Minister David Lammy said on Saturday that it was “unacceptable” that Israel detained two British lawmakers and denied them to the territory of the country. TASR informs about this according to the AFP news agency.

Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohammed of the ruling Labor Party traveled from London to Israel, but they were blocked to enter the country and deported them, the British media said.

The statement of Minister Lammy

“It is unacceptable, counterproductive and deeply disturbing that the Israeli authorities have been detained by two British deputies who were part of the parliamentary delegation in Israel and refused to allow them to enter,” Lammy said in a statement.

“I made my colleagues in the Israeli government clearly that this is not how the British MPs are not treated. Tonight we contacted both deputies to support them.

Rupture between politicians

The incident caused a rupture between Lammy and the leader of the opposition conservatives Kemi Badenoch, who told Sky News on Sunday that she was “very concerned about many speeches” of Labor’s Labor Members of Israel and

“It is shameful that you are encouraging another country for the detention and deportation of two British deputies,” Lammy responded to the Platform X.

Conflict in the Gaza Strip

Israel has been trying to occupy a territory in the Gaza Strip since March’s renewal of military operations that have completed a short -term ceasefire in the Jewish State War with a radical Palestinian Palestinian movement, which is called a strategy to force militants to release hostage who are still captured.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, which is under the administration of Hamas, said that since March, when Israel has resumed intensive bombing, 1249 people died, increasing the total number of victims from the beginning of the conflict in October 2023 to 50,609.
