Mayor of Maricá, Washington Quaquá says that predecessor management model in the city can be expanded to the state
The Mayor of Maricá (RJ), (PT), published a video this Saturday (5.ab.2025) defending the name of its predecessor, (PT), as a candidate for deputy on the plate of (PSD) for the government of Rio de Janeiro in 2026.
“I started back the revolution and now I came back to make the revolution in the revolution. We are putting former mayor Fabiano Horta to bring this revolution to the entire state of Rio de Janeiro”Said Quaquá.
In the recording, the petista states that the experience of garden management in Maricá was positive, in reference to the period when the predecessor commanded the city, from 2017 to 2024.
“Maricá proved that you can rule with the people, guaranteeing rights, distributing income and making the economy rotate”Said Quaquá.

Fabiano Horta
Fabiano Horta is a veterinarian and is 50 years old. He began his political trajectory in 2004, when he applied for the first time as maricá councilman. That year, he became an alternate and took office only in 2008. As a councilman, he held 2 terms.
In 2014, he applied for the first time to the House of Representatives and was elected. He fulfilled a mandate as a federal deputy. In 2016, he played for the first time the City of Maricá, won the election, succeeding Quaquá, and was reelected in 2020.
