At least 16 people have been killed as a result of strong storms in the United States. On Saturday, the National Meteorological Service (NWS) warned against “serious” local tidal floods in the coming days, writes TASR based on AFP report.
In recent days, the storm Front spreading between Arkansas and Ohio has been damaged by buildings, flooded roads and caused dozens of tornadoes. The bad weather was the strongest hit by Tennessee, where the authorities have already announced ten deaths.
Tragic victims
Two people died in Kentucky, one of the victims was a child who “swept floods”, said Andy Beshear, governor. Two deaths in connection with storms were recorded in Missouri and one in Indiana. In Little Rock, Arkansas, a five -year -old died.
In photos shared on social networks you can see destroyed houses, refuted trees, pulled power lines or overturned cars. “We expect serious local tidal floods on Sundays in parts of the central -eastern region,” NWs said, warning that “lives and property are in great danger”.
Electricity outages
