The Russian missile attack on the city of Kryvyj Rih on Friday evening has lost their lives for 18 people, including nine children.
The Russian army claims to attack the soldiers in the restaurant. From the covering corner, however, it is that the restaurant, which is located only 70 meters from the site of the missile, was held that day a cosmetology forum.
The Russian Defense Ministry admitted Friday’s attack and informed that at 6:49 pm “a high -time missile attack at the venue of the meeting of the heads of units and western instructors in one of the restaurants in the cover corner”.
“The opponent’s losses were achieved by 85 soldiers and officers from other countries and 20 pieces of vehicles,” the Russian ministry wrote.
The Ukrainian armed forces have described these Russian claims as a “high -consuming lie”.
The restaurant near the impact remained whole
The name of the restaurant Russian Ministry of Defense did not disclose. However, in the immediate vicinity of the hit playground, there is a Rosemarine restaurant, once called Magellan, and that is why it was speculated that this building could be the goal.
“According to my information, they focused on the Magellan restaurant and hit it exactly,” for example, a Russian telegram blogger Yuri Podoľak, according to which there was “15 off -road vehicles with security” at the time of the attack around the restaurant.
“There was a meeting of the Command Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in the restaurant itself. Until now, more than 40 soldiers have been pulled out of the ruins, nearly parked cars destroyed the attack,” he wrote.
The videos that circulated social networks immediately after the attack, but not even destroyed military cars, nor a destroyed restaurant, or to operate the rescue services removing rubble. On the contrary, the Rosemarine restaurant is more or less undamaged in the photos and videos from the tragedy. In some shots of Saturday, the windows were defined, as the pressure wave from the explosion or fragments probably destroyed them as well as in the apartments of the surrounding flats.
When it turned out that the restaurant was undamaged and the Russian rocket killed several children, Russian bloggers began to spread that the aim of the attack was probably another object, or they started to blame Ukrainian air defense.
Some sources write about the beauty conference
According to the investigative, a meeting of employees of the cosmetology industry took place in the Rosemarine restaurant on Friday before the attack.
Most participants of the Beauty Business Forum conference, according to the organizers, left around half past seven. One of the representatives of the Business Association, which organized the Forum, told the system of Systema that he left himself three or four minutes before the attack, but two participants in the forum.
In parallel with the Beauty conference, a birthday party was held in the restaurant, which came to which many young people and children came.
“In the cafe, they celebrated the birthday of the annual child yesterday. There was a meeting of the Beauty Industry Champions. They met their team there,” she told one of the city residents, who brought flowers to the place of tragedy on Saturday.
“There can be no NATO officers physically. There are living houses all around. There are no bases, hangars, garages, nothing where people could gather. I saw ordinary civilian cars that were chopped and burned yesterday,” another witnesses said.
Head -with
The Ukrainian armed forces informed that Kryvyj Rih hit Russian Iskander-M with a cassette combat part. Russian telegram bloggers, however, refused, saying that if the housing estate space was hit by a cassette, the videos would catch several explosions, not one big.
However, Russian analyst Jan Matvejev points out that the rocket probably contained an explosive head with submunities to multiply the effect. Around the explosion you could see chopped buildings, trees, cars – in one of them people burned.
“The explosion affected the open area, so the dispersion of the destructive elements was maximum,”, adding that the use of a similar ammunition in a housing estate full of civilians can be considered a war crime.
“The nature of the damage suggests that a missile with a head -equipped submunities has been used,” the Conflict Intelligence Team project.
Matvejev also points out that although the so -called. Z-channels blame the Ukrainian air defense, other explosions in the cover corner have not been recorded.
The representative of the Association confirmed the “system” that on April 4, the Rosemarine restaurant really hosted the forum of the beauty industry. The event lasted about four hours, and the bulk of the participants parted about half past seven in the evening. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the blow was dealt at 18:49. The interlocutor of the “system” says that he himself left three to four minutes before the blow, but two girls from among the forum participants fell under fire-one of them lived nearby. According to him, simultaneously with the forum in the restaurant, a birthday was held, on which there were many young people and children.
Days of mourning
In the cover corner after the Russian attack, they declared three days of sadness. On Saturday, the victims of the tragedy in the city commemorated a minute of silence. The youngest childhood victim of the Russian attack was only three years old, the oldest boy was 17 years old.
From solidarity with the inhabitants of the cover corner, many other Ukrainian cities have declared a day of mourning on Sunday.
More than 70 people injured the missile attack on Friday evening. According to Ukrainian media, 17 patients are in severe condition in hospitals.
