The most striking event of the 2025 edition of the Arnold Sports Festival South America (also known as Arnold Classic South America or Arnold Classic Brazil) was the dispute for the title of the Open category in professional bodybuilding. On the afternoon of last Saturday (5), Vitaliy Ugolnikov, Goodvito, beat Leandro Peres and qualified for Olympia (most important championship of world bodybuilding).
Olympia host since 2006, Bob Cicherillo watched the confrontation closely and said that the Russian athlete could stand out on the most renowned stage of the sport. “I think a good goal for Goodvito would be the Top10. He still has points to work, but he is a great athlete, he is a young bodybuilder with a lot of potential,” says the communicator in an exclusive interview with the blog.
According to the former professional physiculturist, the champion of Arnold Classic Brasil 2025 “needs more work on the back and keep the waist thin. A little more refinement in the physicist and he can already compete against any of the planet.”
Cicherillo also gave her opinion on Peres: “It was amazing and didn’t lose for much.” Still according to the presenter, “he has a very complete physique, perhaps even more complete than Goodvite’s own, but needs to control the waist a little more and bring more conditioning.”
Finally, Cicherillo talked about the current scenario of the Classic Physique category and highlighted German Mike Sommerfeld as “the competitor to be hit at the moment.”
“Ramon Dino is very close, there is also URS Kalecinski … Let’s see what happens, let’s see if someone will be dominant on the Olympia stage. There are many new talents, let’s keep our eyes open,” he says.
