It began this Monday (7.abr.2025) the National Flu Vaccination Campaign. The goal is to immunize 90% of priority groups, including children from 6 months to under 6, elderly, pregnant women and postpartum women.
They can also receive the dose:

Health workers;
-
teachers of basic and higher education;
-
indigenous peoples;
-
homeless people;
-
Professionals from the Security Forces and the Armed Forces;
-
individuals with chronic diseases or special clinical conditions;
-
People with permanent disabilities;
-
truckers;
-
collective road and port transport workers;
-
Employees and people deprived of liberty, including adolescents between 12 and 21 years old in socio -educational measures.
According to the ministry, the vaccine offered in the public network protects against 2 types of influenza virus: H1N1, H3N2 and B. The application can be done simultaneously with other vaccines of the national vaccination calendar.
The purpose of the campaign is to protect the most vulnerable groups and reduce serious cases and deaths during autumn and winter, periods of greater circulation of the virus. The campaign takes place across the country, with doses available at municipal health posts.
