King Carlos III and Queen Camila visit Rome and the Vatican already this Monday. It is the beginning of an intense agenda, the week the couple celebrates 20 years of marriage.
This is the first time Carlos III will be with Pope Francis as a monarch. The last time they were together was in 2017, when he was still a prince of Wales. This week, Carlos and Camila travel to Rome and the Vatican for a state visit.
On Wednesday, the couple has an audience with the president of Italy and the first minister. Carlos III will be the first British monarch to speak in a joint session of the Italian Parliament.
Also on Wednesday the couple celebrates 20 years of marriage.
