According to the presidency’s Secretariat of Communication, Lula had to remove a benign spot – in the technical terms, a “melanocytic nevo” – in the Supercilius region.
The procedure, considered simple, was performed in São Paulo (SP), without the need to go to the hospital.
The dressing in the left hand was placed to protect a scratch caused by the president’s pet dogs while playing.
Lula’s health
Since having had surgery at the end of last year, President Lula’s health has been a cause for greater caution.
In February, he was at the Syrian Lebanese Hospital in São Paulo, where he underwent a battery of exams.
At the time, the hospital’s medical bulletin realized that “all tests performed are within normal, including skull tomography for postoperative control.”
