The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his wife, the first lady, Sara Netanyahu, have arrived in the capital of the United States, Washington, where the head of Israeli government will meet this Monday with the tenant of the White House, Donald Trump, with whom he will address, among others, the US tariffs and the situation in the strip of Gaza.
The prime minister’s office has shared the images of the arrival of the Netanyahu to the United States, after the White House reported that the Israeli and the American will offer a joint press conference at 2:30 p.m. (local time, 20.30 Spanish peninsular time).
Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader to discuss in person with Trump the impact of tariffs of 17 percent that the latter has imposed on Israel this week as part of the commercial war that Washington has declared to the international community. It is worth mentioning that Netanyahu was also the first president who met with Trump when he returned to the White House.
The Israeli president has arrived in American territory after making a trip to Hungary in which he has challenged the arrest warrant that the International Criminal Court (TPI) issued against him for war crimes and against humanity in the framework of investigations for the military offensive on the Gaza Strip.
During his visit, the Hungarian government announced the future departure of the country of the TPI when considering that it has become a “political court” for its decisions around Israel, despite the fact that this measure does not exonerate it from the obligations contracted during the time it was part.
