On the road I/16 near Rožňava there was a car accident with a truck on Monday morning. One person was seriously injured in the frontal collision, and air rescuers also intervened on the spot. Air – Transport Europe (ATE) informed about it on the social network.
A rescue helicopter from Košice was called to the scene of the accident. Rescuers helped a passenger car driver who suffered life -threatening injuries to several parts of the body.
“After urgent medical treatment, the patient was translated on board with a so -called polytrauma in a critical condition on artificial lung ventilation air transported to the Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Košice,” “ Air rescuers approached.
