The truth is that scientists have documented a number of new animal species over the past 25 years. At the same time, our planet lost some species for good.

Despite the fact that animal protectors persistently beat the alarm, no one but mankind itself is responsible for the extinct species. Here is a list of several animals who have disappeared from the surface of the Earth over the past 50 years.

This YouTube video shows a list of recently extinct animals:

Potápka Alaotra

This rare bird was also called a cinnamon gig. And the past tense is entirely in place. The last confirmed observation was recorded in 1982, 43 years ago. His home was Lake Alaotra in the remote part of Madagascar Island. According to experts, the definitive extinction of this bird was increasingly frequently setting up fishing networks. But his population began to decline rapidly in the last century.

Alaotra’s gathering held for a while, because the few birds that were left began to mate with small sides, eventually creating a kind of hybrid species. In 1989, 2004, scientists were also exploring the area of Lake Alaotra in 2009, and in any case they found no evidence of the only Alaotr’s only living. In the end, this species officially declared extinct, it happened in 2010.

Chinese dolphin

The Chinese dolphin lived in the Yang-C’jiang river for an incredible 20 million years and was destroyed in just 50 years. And again, it is your insidious behavior and ignorant expansion. The rapid decrease in the population is excessive fishing, shipping, pollution of the river and unfortunately also poaching.

Dolphin Baiji, or also the yang-c’jiang rivers, is declared critically endangered and perhaps extinct. The last documented observation took place in 2002. The researchers did not give up and the last hopes put into the expedition on the Yang-C’jiang river. Equipped with optics and underwater microphones, they floated more than 4800 kilometers, but no surviving dolphins did not specify. Subsequently, the dolphin Baiji was declared a functionally extinct animal, which means that theoretically, so few have remained that they cannot ensure the survival of the species.

Melomys rubicola

He was a cute rodent, a rat. He lived in a single place, on a small coral island of Bramble Cay, falling towards Australia. Last time he was seen in 2009. Two years later, a team of scientists went to the island to catch some more pieces to ensure the population at least in captivity. But they couldn’t do it anymore. They did not give up and repeated the expedition again in 2014. The result? Not a single melomys Rubicola.

The Australian government then said it was the first documented extinction of a mammal caused by human climate change, loss of the vegetation of the island and as a result of the rising sea level.

Maui Austly

Singing bird with yellow color and dark beak. He came from the Hawaiian island of Maui, where it belonged to the color of the whole island. The bird sang in 2018, when it was entered into the red list of endangered IUCN species. The IUCN abbreviation refers to the International Nature Conservation Union and includes 108 different state institutions, 766 NGOs and 10,000 experts.

It is believed that Maui Akepa has quit both the invasion of mosquitoes spreading bird flu and the loss of habitats and various diseases.

Departed sucaltalis

You will never see this snail with conical shell in the wild. Unfortunately, he was declared extinct in 2009, which occurred as a result of the chain of events caused by humans. The story is really interesting. Originally African terrestrial worm was planted on Tahiti in the 1970s as a source of food. The plan failed when the snails got into the countryside and began to destroy the crop. Biologists came up with a proposal for naughty snails to deploy predators, also snails, called “Pink Wolf snail”, it is also called the cannibal snail. Well, for sure, he eradicated all the snails, including the party suturalis, which is now kept only in captivity.
