Ceramic tiles are one of the most popular elections of the bathroom or kitchen floor. Currently, floor tiles located in the hallway and even in the rooms are also becoming more and more fashionable. Classic tiles are resistant to moisture and dirt and are easy to keep clean. The smoother the surface of the floor tiles, the easier it is to wash. It is a bit harder for matte tiles or those with decorations. In this case, you can clean them with lukewarm water with the addition of gray soap. This is a safe way that not only remains dirt, but will also work antibacterial and protect against mold deposits on joints. A mixture of water and baking soda will work similarly. Mix water with baking soda in a 1: 1 ratio and apply to tiles. This method is great for cleaning joints. Leave the mixture of baking soda with water on joints for about 30 minutes. After this time, gently scrub the joints until I am clean.

If you want floor tiles at the same time, you should definitely reach PO. This method will allow you to house high gloss floor tiles. Pour 1 pack (20g) of citric acid up to approx. 5 liters of water. Mix the whole thoroughly and wipe the tiles with such a mixture. To make the solution even more effective, you can add 3 tablespoons of baking soda to it. Citric acid refreshes surfaces and gives them a flash. Similarly, you can work vinegar, however, with floors, its smell may be too irritating. Such washed floors will regain their splendor, but they will not be more slippery.

Cleaning floor tiles with gloss requires a bit more attention than in the case of matte tiles, because it is easy to notice streaks and scratches on them. Here are some tips on how to do it effectively:

How to wash floor tiles?

  • Sweeping or vacuuming: remove dust, sand and other loose dirt. This is a key step to avoid scratches. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a soft tip.
  • Prepare a cleaning solution: Avoid aggressive chemicals such as bleacher, ammonia or strong acids. They can damage the gloss. It works best: hot water with a vascular fluid: Add a few drops of liquid to hot water. This is a delicate but effective way to remove most of the dirt.
  • White vinegar: dilute white vinegar with water in a 1: 1 ratio. Vinegar helps to remove soap sediment and restore glow. Remember to always dilute vinegar, because undiluted can be too aggressive.
  • Specialized gloss cleaning products: Special preparations for cleaning gloss tiles are available on the market. Make sure they are safe for your type of tiles (e.g. polished stoneware).
  • Use a microfiber mop: microfiber mop is delicate for the surface of the tiles and effectively collects dirt. Make sure the mop is clean.
  • MOP urine in a cleaning solution: squeeze the mop so that it is not too wet. Excess water can leave streaks.
  • Wash the floor with sections: PPAC in small areas so that the cleaning solution does not dry out on the tiles.
  • Avoid scraking: gently move the mop over the surface of the tiles. If you have difficult stains, try to soak them with a cleaning solution for a few minutes, then gently wipe.
