Netanyahu highlighted the previous agreement, which thanks to Trump’s ambassador got 25 people.

Israeli Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu said on Monday during a visit to US President Donald Trump in the White House that his country was negotiating a new agreement to release other hostages from the captivity of the Hamas militant movement in the Gaza Strip. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

“We are now working on another agreement and we hope it will succeed. We are determined to get out of all the hostages,” Netanyahu told reporters in the Oval Working Work of the White House. “We are very trying to get the hostages out. There is another ceasefire in front of us. We’ll see what happens,” President Trump added.

According to Netanyahu, prisoners are “in agony”, but the Israeli leader has highlighted the previous agreement “partially negotiated by Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff” and who “got out 25 people”.

Tel Aviv, 18 March after nearly two months of the ceasefire, resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023 by the Hamas attack on Israel. During the ceasefire, Hamas released 33 citizens of Israel in exchange for 1800 Palestinians.

Of the 251 hostages kidnapped during the attack 7 October 2023, 58, including 34, remains in captivity, which the Israeli army claims to be after death.
